Ian Douglas:
Ian is finishing work on a fine arts degree in New Mexico. He began sketching strangers in cafes as a way to feel connected while recovering from a surgery. Ian cares passionately about using his art to tell stories.
Jazthri
Jazthri uses markers, paint, and tiles to create. Capturing in her iconoclastic style the personalities and faces of people’s beloved pets, rescue animals, and beautiful wildlife as well as fantasy animals, plants, and beautiful abstract designs. Jazthri spent quarantine creating two new collections of paintings, learning to craft mosaics, and connecting with friends online.
Philip Ma:
Philip started creating art as a child, drawing and painting people, animals, and Disney. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 3D Animation and Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Philip paints beautiful landscapes of the exotic locations he visits on family trips, as well as creating art of his favorite anime, movies, and comics. During quarantine Philip practiced digital drawing and created a comic book about befriending dragons.
Jessica Codromac:
Jessica is a recent addition to the Phil Egan Art Program, but she has been creating art all of her life. She loves painting, drawing, and writing as a form of self-expression and enjoys making paintings and other art gifts for her friends. Jessica's technicolor creations explore abstractions of her reality. During quarantine Jessica has been creating butterfly art and catching up with friends virtually.
Matthaus
Matthaus began sculpting at 5 years old; by 9 he was making animals and imaginary creatures using paper, paper towels, plants, clay, and even food. He began to work in tin foil because his sculptures are durable, but flexible enough to “roam” around in his imaginary world. Matthaus also enjoys working with ceramics and his playful and whimsical creations have made him well recognized. During quarantine, Matthaus has continued to work as well as exploring drawing, where he continues to bring to life all of his favorite animals.
Chelsey Fineberg
Chelsey works in bright, joyous colors and patterns as she explores recurring memories or ideas important to her. Her art often reminisces about family members and beloved pets or exciting events, presented with abstract patterns and shapes. During quarantine Chelsey has been enjoying coloring books
Daniel Arroyo:
Daniel has been an artist since the age of 5 and has exhibited in museums around the Bay Area. He has been inspired by cartoons, pop culture, and beautiful places he visits with his family. During quarantine, Daniel worked on his abstract paintings, sketched pop culture figures, and watched all of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures with his dad.
